PRICING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FINE ART

to “United Art Rating Statute

 

1. The purpose of the present pricing recommendations is a social protection of artists, their inheritors, art-managers and buyers.

2. The following prices are the recommended social minimums.

3. For the reason that United Art Rating is used in many countries, the prices are given in U.S. dollars (USD).

4. The following prices include the service of managers and galleries, in other words, they are final for customers, with no regard to the fact whether the purchase is made in the primary or secondary market.

5. Pricing recommendations for artists working in 2 dimensions.

5.1. Prices are meant for the size of an art material, indicated in the description, and change proportionally to increase or decrease in the latter.

5.2. The cost of art materials of a work execution is not included in recommended prices.

5.3. Prices in nominations “Artists of 2 dimensions” are indicated according to the following art techniques:

Technique 1: canvas, oil painting (acrylic, tempera etc.), size 50x60 cm;

Technique 2: paper, watercolour (gouache, pastel etc.), size 40x50 cm;

Technique 3: easel graphic (drawing ink, pencil etc. size 20x30 cm;

Technique 4: photos, printed graphics (etching, lithography, engraving etc), size 20x30 cm;

5.4. In the following table the recommended minimum prices are indicated, in other words, a recommended real cost is not lower than an indicated one. The upper limit is not restricted.

6. Pricing recommendations for artists working in 3 dimensions.

6.1. The indicated prices do not include the cost of art materials and production.

6.2. In the following table the recommended minimum prices are indicated, in other words, a recommended real cost (with no regard to material and manufacturing cost) is not lower than an indicated one. The upper limit is not restricted.
